The 1:1 Learning Initiative is underway for 2014-2015! To learn more about the initiative, please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/a/ecps.k12.nc.us/learninginitiative/.
The deployment for iPads for students in grades six through twelve will occur in the next few weeks. Prior to deployment each school will hold parent meetings and information sessions. These dates will be shared via phone message and the one-to-one website above. Parents who have students in these grades will be able to pay prior to coming to a meeting using the pay online instructions below. Payment will also be accepted on-site during each meeting. To pay online, parents will need their student's ID number, which is available on the report cards, schedules, transcripts, or by emailing Nelle Hyatt at firstname.lastname@example.org. To pay online, visit mypaymentplus.com. Once you have an account in mypaymentsplus.com, please look for "Other Payments" for the iPad Off-Campus Fee. If you pay online, we ask that you bring your receipt to the parent meeting.
Parents who elect to pay the remote usage fee online for the entire year receive a $10 discount if paid before October 1st, 2014. If paying for the semester, the cost is $25.00 and if paying for the entire year, the cost is $40.00 before October 1st. If you have any questions, please contact the Edenton-Chowan Public Schools Technology Department at 252-482-2811.
Edenton-Chowan Schools Cafeterias now offer an option to pay online for your child's breakfast and/or lunch. With mypaymentsplus.com, you can pay for your child's lunch at home rather than sending money to school. For a small program fee, you can quickly make the payments toward your child's lunch. You can also set up email reminders to notify you when the balance is low. The account may also be set up to automatically replenish your child's account when it reaches a low balance. To sign up, you will need your child's ID number (you can get this off of a report card or by contacting the school office). Go to www.mypaymentsplus.com and follow the directions listed in the link below. If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Department of Edenton Chowan Schools at 252-482-4436.

2014 Fall Supply List
As of Monday, August 11th 44 high school students are participating in a dual enrollment opportunity between John A. Holmes and College of The Albemarle. Students enrolled in this program will earn college credit while also completing their high school diploma. The courses in which these students are enrolled can lead to the completion of a certificate, diploma, or associate degree. Students taking CCP courses will receive credits that are guaranteed to transfer (upon successful completion of the course) to any of our University of North Carolina institutions. Due to the increased enrollment that is supported by the PACTS partnership with John A. Holmes High School, the Fall 2014 college-transferable, face-to-face class offerings on the Edenton-Chowan Campus have more than doubled those of Fall 2013. Pictured below are students completing orientation.
